Multi-Story Orchestra and the Online World

Kailash and Kamea, Year 7, write about their experience of working with the Multi-Story Orchestra.

We really enjoyed the opportunity to work with Multi-Story Orchestra, as we got to explore the problems with the online world. The song Verified was what the entire performance had been named after. It showed the struggles of social media and what it is like starting out as an influencer. The choir was split into two sections in the chorus sounding like an argument between the two sides.

Another song Ego was about how most influencers have to keep their likes up and remain popular. A line "living off my likes” literally displays that the non-stop pressure you are under with social media is almost stifling and the stress can be unbearable. It was most people's favourite (including both of us). The song had a beat to it that gave a feeling of adrenaline and rush.

The last song we sang was called Crash, which talked about how eventually something had gone wrong, and the influencer was stuck in the mess that they'd made and how low they felt at the time. It had a light airy feel to it with twinkles from the orchestra and two professional opera singers.

Working with Multi-Story Orchestra and the Young Creatives was an amazing experience and some of the most fun and it was worth it!
