HAP Students Graduate from King's Scholars Programme
Congratulations to our students who graduated from the King's Scholars programme yesterday.
King's Scholars is a three-year programme offered to only eight schools in London by the King's College Social Mobility & Widening Participation Department. After entering Year 7, 20-25 students are selected using a stringent criterion.
Throughout the programme, students attend numerous workshops on King's College Strand Campus as well as in-school workshops. These are targeted to help students learn and use metacognitive skills (learning about learning) to help their studies and navigate their journey to university and beyond.
During these workshops students are also encouraged to build their 'soft skills' in teamwork, creativity and public speaking. Students who graduate the King's Scholars programme have the opportunity to join the K+ programme when they are enrolled in sixth form.
