HAP Hosts Harris Shakespeare Showcase

Shakespeare 3This year the Federation launched its first Harris Shakespeare Showcase, and Harris Academy Peckham had the privilege of hosting this event.

Representing Harris Academy Peckham were Alimat (Year 9), Toni-Ann (Year 10) and Solonique (Year 10) who performed as an ensemble Lady Macbeth’s monologue, ‘Out, damned spot out’.  Alimat also performed a monologue from Shakespeare's historical play Julius Caesar.

This event was a collaboration between the Drama and English departments in the Federation to get together and share students' performances of extracts from a variety of Shakespeare plays.

All students involved produced amazing performances and, more than this, were very supportive of each other’s performances. It was an amazing experience for all involved and I know that HAP is looking forward to taking part in next year’s showcase.
