RADA Perform William Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night'
Year 9s were fortunate enough to have RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) come in to perform an abridged version of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.
Viola, separated from her twin Sebastian, dresses as a boy and works for the Duke Orsino, with whom she falls in love. Orsino is in love with the Countess Olivia, and sends Viola to court her for him, but Olivia falls for Viola instead. Sebastian arrives, causing a flood of mistaken identity, and marries Olivia. Viola then reveals she is a girl and marries Orsino.
Year 9s were unsure if they would enjoy it, but ended up loving it!
- "It was really funny."
- "That was actually good!"
- "I would watch it again."
- "I didn’t realise Shakespeare was so funny!"
