Interfaculty debate

On Wednesday 10th June our Year 8 students went head to head with each other on the summer interfaculty debate. The motion being “Evil exists so God cannot”. It was a heated competition where issues about the determinism, the cosmological argument and free will were discussed with passion and aplomb. Yellow house did extremely well thanks to the eloquence of George, the bravery of Deborah and the spontaneity of Mo-Hayder. However they were narrowly beaten to the finals by Blue house and Red house. In the final, reigning champions Kieu, Sade and Tarrell gave strong arguments, but thanks to some excellent public speaking from Sedrika, Gabriel and Jacob, Red house came out champions. Well done Red House and all students who came to support!
