Year 7 Reach for the Scholarly Stars
It’s never too early to start thinking about your future aspirations and goals, as our Year 7 King's Scholars found out recently on their Discover University Day.
Our Year 7 King's Scholars got the chance to visit and see what university is like, when they visited King's College London. As part of the day, they found out about metacognitive skills that will be crucial to helping them go to university, received a tour of King's College London’s Strand Campus and the local sites in central London, and the chance to learn some British Sign Language and create their own university society.
It was wonderful to see the students faces lighting up when they learned their new skill of BSL and got to see how accessible university life could be for them, if they persevere and aspire to do the very best they can during their time here at HAP.
Aspiration is central to how we nurture and develop our students here at HAP, and we’re so grateful for our relationship with the King's College London Widening Participation team (who run the King's Scholars programme) to help us take this one step further!
