Yeray Wins a Place at Music School
We are very proud of Yeray, Year 10, who has been offered a place on the full programme at the Centre for Young Musicians (CYM), the junior department of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
CYM students have gone on to study at conservatoires all over the country before undertaking professional careers in the music industry. Tutors come from all areas of the music industry, with famous musicians often giving masterclasses too.
Yeray, who plays piano and flute, was offered a place immediately after his audition, with his tuition partly funded by the Guildhall Young Artists Fund. Students at CYM also feed into the London Schools Symphony Orchestra, based at the Barbican Centre, and the London Youth Wind Band. Both perform in venues across London and also tour Europe.
Yeray has also been given a place on an Inspire course with the National Youth Orchestra next year. Well done Yeray, we are very proud of you!
