Rowing

On Thursday 28 January 6 student attended a rowing session at The Charter School.

First the students received some bespoke coaching from the leaders of the session before each taking part in their individual races. In the Year 9 girls category Sedricka Maxwell placed third in her heat and Deborah Akinyosoye was placed sixth. In the Year 9 boys category Ibrihim Vatansever finished second in his heat while Abubakar Kamara finished fifth. Giovanni Gesugrande also took part in this race and finished ninth in his heat. With this result Ibrihim came in third place overall receiving a bronze medal for the Year 9 boys category. In the Year 10 category Gregory Armendariz finished in eighth place in his heat. All of the races consisted of the students rowing as far as they could in a 3 minute period.
