Bank of England visit
On Thursday 21 January Year 10 students visited the Bank of England museum to learn about the Bank's roles and responsibilities. Our students gained valuable knowledge and understanding about how and why the bank was established, as well as the Bank's role in helping to keep the UK economy stable through a presentation hosted by one of the museums educations officers. Students also had the opportunity to ask any questions about the Bank of England during their workshop.
While touring the museum students had the opportunity to lift a real gold bar, which I will stress is extremely heavy, and they also got to see what £50,000 of shredded notes looks like.
