21 March 2025Careers FairHarris Academy Peckham proudly hosted its careers fair on Thursday 21st March 2025, a landmark event aimed at providing students with invaluable insights into various career paths and opportunities. The fair was a resounding success, featuring a diverse array of esteemed employers and organisations from multiple sectors including healthcare, construction, architecture, insurance and beyond! Thank you to the employers and organisations in attendance on the day: CBRE Limited: A global leader in real estate services, offering students a glimpse into the dynamic world of property management and consultancy. Theatre Peckham: An inspiring presence, showcasing opportunities in the performing arts and creative industries. British Army: Providing information on careers in the military, emphasising leadership, discipline, and service. Mountview Theatre Academy: Highlighting educational pathways in theatre arts, including acting, directing, and production. London Northwest Healthcare NHS Trust: Offering insights into careers in healthcare, from clinical roles to administrative positions. Compound Real Estate: Discussing opportunities in real estate investment and development. University of Staffordshire: Presenting academic programmes and career support services available to prospective students. Quartz Project Services: Sharing expertise in project management and consultancy within the construction industry. The AA: Providing information on careers in automotive services and roadside assistance. Architecture 00: Showcasing innovative careers in architecture and urban design. Audley Travel: Highlighting opportunities in the travel and tourism industry. Greater London Authority: Discussing roles in public service and urban planning. HBAED: Offering insights into a broad range of academic and vocational courses post +16 Access Creative College: Offering insights into post +16 qualifications in Music, Games, Media & Design, Esports and Computing. WSP: Presenting opportunities in engineering, environmental consultancy, and professional services. The careers fair was designed to inspire and inform students about the vast array of career options available to them. Attendees had the chance to engage directly with representatives from each organisation, ask questions, and gather valuable information about potential career paths and necessary qualifications to be successful within them. The event also featured interactive sessions where students could participate in hands-on activities related to various professions. Students and staff alike expressed their enthusiasm and appreciation for the event. One student remarked, "It was amazing to see so many different career options in one place. I learned a lot about industries I hadn't considered before." A staff member added, "This careers fair has opened up new possibilities for our students. It's wonderful to see them so engaged and excited about their futures." We are committed to continuing this tradition and making the careers fair an annual event. By connecting students with leading employers and educational institutions, the academy aims to empower its students to make informed decisions about their career paths and achieve their full potential. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the employers and organisations who participated and made this event a tremendous success including the insightful feedback – this will help us to ensure that our career fair gets bigger and better each year! We look forward to seeing the positive impact this fair will have on our students' futures.
