EAL Students Visit Greenwich
Sixteen lucky EAL (English as an Additional Language) students and the EAL team went on a trip to visit the famous landmarks in Greenwich.
We took photos with the enormous Cutty Sark, walked the chilly foot tunnel to the north of the river and lunched by the Thames riverbank.
Part of the National Maritime Museum was closed off due to refurbishment but we still managed to see artefacts relating to slavery and also items rescued from the sea!
Then we went into the Queen's House where we saw oil paintings of Henry VIII and Queen Victoria staring at us! After giving our legs a rest, some of us ran up the hill to the Royal Observatory where we took photos with the beautiful London skyline. Though we were all tired by the end of the day, we were very happy that it did not rain as forecasted and we enjoyed each other's company.
