Toni-Ann and Solonique Shine in the Harris Drama Festival

Drama 1Toni-Ann and Solonique participated in the Harris Drama Festival on Wednesday 7th February 2024, and they were simply amazing! So much so that Toni-Ann won Star Performer of the event and received a £50 theatre voucher!

They performed their examination piece which was a piece from Carol Churchill’s Top Girls. After performing their piece, they were very fortunate to participate in a musical theatre workshop with actors from the West End show Hairspray.

“Solonique and Toni-Ann were phenomenal at the Drama Festival today," said Harris Drama Strand Lead, Oliver Blagden. "The students delivered an incredibly powerful, moving piece of theatre that wouldn’t have looked amiss on a professional stage. It’s clear that the girls have worked really hard on this, and they deserve commendation for what they achieved.  They really did HAP proud today – there is some really special stuff going on in drama in your school.”

Drama teacher Mr Siddons said: “Well done again to your performers yesterday! They were remarkably talented, and tackling a Churchill is no easy feat! ”
