HAP Teacher Mr Tate Honoured at Diversity Awards
Congratulations to Harris Academy Peckham teacher, Astor Tate (pictured), who was awarded Teacher of the Year at the Diversity Awards for Education evening earlier this month, hosted by Learning Workz.
The awards celebrate schools in London who offer above and beyond support and celebration for their rainbow communities, representing the multitude of ethnicities, languages, faiths, and backgrounds that make London's schools distinct.
Mr Tate, who is our Diversity and Inclusion Lead, collected his award on the evening and our Student Council also received an award, which contributed to our Bronze award overall. Mr Tate also received a Special Commendation for his work on Diversity, Equality and Inclusion.
We are very proud of the success of Harris Academy Peckham at the Diversity Awards for Education, which recognises individual teachers, non-teaching roles, students and parents.
