Year 10 Artists’ Im-press-ive Prints
This term, our Year 10 artists have been busy getting to grips with a range of new and exciting art techniques to build their GCSE portfolios.
Throughout their architecture project they have used photography to create a variety of artworks inspired by professional artists and buildings both local and worldwide.
The art classrooms became printing workshops as students mastered the technique of monoprinting; they rolled up their sleeves and donned their aprons to create colourful and textural collages of cityscapes and some familiar London landmarks.
"With monoprinting you can really make your artwork appear to pop out!" said Isabella, Year 10. "There’s so much you can do with it, and it makes you consider all the elements of the artwork such as colour, pattern and shape. You can make different compositions from overlapping your collage too."
Pictured on this page is a selection of their fantastic outcomes.
