Harris Academies in Peckham Donate More than 1,000 Meals

Harris Academies have delivered more than 1,300 frozen meals for families in Peckham throughout the holidays. 

The food, for pupils from Harris Academy Peckham, Harris Free Primary School Peckham and Harris Primary Academy Peckham Park, was provided by investment firm Barings as part of an initiative run by the Thomas Franks Foundation. It includes sausage and mash, and bean chilli and rice.

Rebecca Hickey, Executive Principal of Harris Academy Peckham said: “This Christmas gift could not have come at a more crucial time for our students and their families. Many have experienced extreme hardship in the last few months, so to be able to offer hot meals is a tremendous support. Quite literally, a sprinkle of magic Christmas cheer!”
