Sixth Form Art Visit
On Wednesday 18th October Sixth Form students experienced some cultural immersion as they visited the Tate Modern, followed by a visit to the Prestigious Jean Michel Basquiat exhibition at the Barbican Centre. Students were thrilled by the artwork witnessed and inspired by the innovative techniques use. Basquiat was an excellent artist to look at for inspiration for their Art Coursework and certainly an artist all students could relate to. On the way home we were also able to visit the Watts Memorial to Heroic Self-Sacrifice in Postman’s Park. The trip will have significant impact in supporting Post 16 with their Art portfolio and exposing students to work of other Artists and Designers.
