Imperial War Museum Trip

On Friday 27 February 27 Year 10 students visited the Imperial War Museum.  The students picked up lots of useful information to use in their descriptive writing and their analysis for conflict poetry for their English Language and Literature exams. They were particularly impressed by the spy exhibitions and the aircrafts used during the Great War and the Second World War. Students even tried to translate German posters into English and were enthused that they could link knowledge learnt from History lessons to English. They actively engaged in a discussion with a member of the public about the effects of gas explosions.
