On Tuesday 15th March the Academy was fortunate to have guest speaker Isabelle Meyer, the legal director for Moet Hennessy Europe, talk to some of our students about her experience in Law. She spoke about lessons learnt during her career, the need to work hard and be motivated, and to take opportunities when they arise. Our students listened attentively, taking on board the advice that she gave them and had the opportunity to ask her questions at the end of the talk. Students were encouraged to start thinking about their career choice and Isabelle urged them to look for work experience and build up contacts to stand out in this competitive job market. Students were inspired by the fact that Isabelle had not come from a privileged background and had made mistakes along the way and yet she has still managed to have the extremely successful career that she has had. Students spoke to Isabelle after the talk and were keen to stay in contact, something that was welcomed by Isabelle.
