Year 13 Imperial College visit

On Tuesday 19 January Year 13 Chemistry students visited Imperial College.  The day was split into 3 parts which were all practical.  Firstly they looked at all 3 gas law experiments, this was useful as it helped consolidate their understanding in class. A session on motors followed and the students had the opportunity to build one. The day finished off with a session on superconductors; there was a demonstration using liquid nitrogen and a floating magnet which the students thought was amazing.
