Darius Knight, GB Table Tennis player visits HAP

On Wednesday 4th February,  Darius Knight, GB Table Tennis player, visited Harris Peckham as part of the Sky Sports Living Programme. A number of students were selected across the Academy as a result of their attitude and participation within PE and towards extra-curricular clubs, as well as having a keen interest in table tennis. Darius spoke to the students about his introduction into table tennis and his journey so far, enthusing the students through his shear passion and determination, and in pursuing his dream. The students were lucky enough to participate and play competitively with Darius, and were amazed by his level of skill and ability. His visit has most definitely inspired many of the students to continue or get involved in table tennis, and possibly take it to the next level. He is also very keen to return to the Academy to work with some of Harris Peckham’s most able table tennis players.
